An Ancient Practice to Manifest Abundance

Happy Vishu (Malayalam new year) dear soul!! ❤️🙏

Did you know that Vishukkani may actually be an ancient practice for manifesting abundance?

🎉 Typically Vishu is when the Sun moves into the month of Medam (equivalent to Aries)

🎉 That’s when the fields are workable and prepared for sowing

🙌 This was important in ancient times when we were directly dependent on the land and it’s riches

🙌 But growing food was such a big responsibility. Everyone’s survival depended on its success.

SO HOW DO WE MAKE SURE A NEW VENTURE IS SUCCESSFUL?

The first step to success is……MINDSET and the law of attraction:

🦋 A Mindset of ABUNDANCE

🦋 A mindset of HAVING the success already

🙏 Because we ARE already abundant and DO NOT NEED TO LONG FOR IT

🙏 GRATITUDE for this abundance which attracts more of what we are grateful for

Thus was born our Vishukkani:

—- where things from daily life representing material and spiritual abundance are arranged the night before at the altar, this is called kani (new clothes, rice, fruits, vegetables, gold coins/ money, an image of Lord Krishna, Konna flowers linked to Lord Krishna, oil lamp)

—- the first thing you open your eyes to see in the morning is the kani; the oldest family member wakes up the younger members, walks them to the kani with their eyes covered and then the eyes are uncovered when they reach the kani, allowing them to see the kani.

❤️ 🦋 HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SEE THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL HAPPY, SUCCESSFUL AND CARED FOR, ALL IN ONE PLACE?

❤️ 🦋 IMAGINE FEELING THAT FEELING FIRST THING ON WAKING UP!…How easy for it to go straight into the subconscious mind…

And when the subconscious mind basks in the feeling of abundance, it manifests the same in our external reality!!!

Almost like an AFFIRMATION of ABUNDANCE ❤️ 🦋

I remember my dad saying in my childhood, “Vishu sets the tone for the entire year!” Now I know what he meant 😊

May this Vishu usher in prosperity, love, peace and joy for all of us ❤️🙏

Grateful for another Vishu:

2. Our mini sadya (feast):
